Artwork Description

If all the ice in Antarctica were to melt it is estimated that sea levels would rise about 70 metres. These four Spotted gums, in the middle of Bodalla, would be under some stress... I have imagined the fish under no stress, but rather enjoying their new found freedom amongst the gumtrees! Not all is doom and gloom.( if you're a fish) I enjoy the combination of orange, white and black, and in this instance it gives, I hope, the spotted gums a surreal aura ( along with the fish, starfish, dugong and medusa) .

Artist Bio

My first 20 years were spent in southern NSW on a farm on wonderful grey box country, then..
University at ANU surrounded by scribbly gums.
More recently south coast of NSW amongst beautiful spotted gum forests.
In between times I studied art at RCAE Wagga and TAFE Goulburn in the spare time I had running a business spanning 40 years.
Artist's trips to Alice Springs and beyond over the past decade have rekindled my interest in the textures and colours of Central Australia- ghost gum country...
There's a pattern here...
For the past 10 years I have been exhibiting and selling successfully in Sydney.
