Artwork Description

Early morning, minimalist brooding black clouds hang above Batemans Bay, heightening the glare of sunlight already hitting the water. Impossible contrast between water and rocks. I've had to highlight the beautiful yellows of nearby headlands. Spotted gums never cease to please ,standing high above the cliffs, sometimes precariously. Beyond the horizon Pigeon House , just out of frame!

My first 20 years were spent in southern NSW on a farm on wonderful grey box country, then..
University at ANU surrounded by scribbly gums.
More recently south coast of NSW amongst beautiful spotted gum forests.
In between times I studied art at RCAE Wagga and TAFE Goulburn in the spare time I had running a business spanning 40 years.
Artist's trips to Alice Springs and beyond over the past decade have rekindled my interest in the textures and colours of Central Australia- ghost gum country...
There's a pattern here...
For the past 10 years I have been exhibiting and selling successfully in Sydney.
