Each one insane
Weird, different, beautiful
Yet the same, all the same

Maybe that’s part of insanity
What helps define it
That you have to act the crowd
See a hundred people
pretending To be flowers and wolves

They stand in isles before they know what for
Searching for the perfect shadow
In a light that only exists in their demented skull
See a hundred people
A thousand if you want
Choosing pain and saying they don’t want it

Look into each one’s eyes
And you will see your own run away
As if your reflection crept up on you
Don’t let the crazies see you’re one of them
A veil of sanity
I see a million people
A million and one
Through an empty window
