This work was strongly influenced during the process of working on "Branchwork", and Sour acts as an extension to this main piece. The work is in a way a further abstraction on the aforementioned piece and uses many of the same brush and spray techniques used in "Branchwork".

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
I am an Austrian-born, Australian-based artist. I have been painting and capturing images with the camera prolifically for over 20 years over which time I have compiled a large and extremely varied body of work.
Inspiration is often drawn from elements found in the natural world, and an idea can be triggered by something as simple as a flower, an animal, a piece of bark, a bushfire or landscape. A work can form in an instant, in a dream, or can develop over time and my technique is driven by an obsession to realise the vision exactly as it appears in my mind. Whilst impossible to pin down or describe my style or technique, I hold high regard for the likes of Rudolf Hausner, Dali, Monet, Van Gogh & Edward Hopper, whilst never directly imitating said styles in my own work but letting my artistic freedom roam.
