Seaford is a beach suburb on Adelaide's "midcoast" where I'll often look out for a wave to surf. But sometimes the drama is in the sky. Here we see a storm approaching, about to transform a placid scene. I love the expectant feeling of these times, and the "Jeffrey Smart skies" with high contrast between foreground and background elevating that sense, in beautiful stark light that we are accustomed to in South Australia.

Sometimes you feel your subject deeply through the lens. There's a clarity in you as well as in what you see. I love capturing spaces where the inner voice can be heard more clearly, where I feel more connected to what it is to be human in our world. I love to share that. Sometimes I just want to share the wonder I feel looking at the breathtaking and often weird beauty that surrounds us.
