It's What's Underneath That Counts by Sioux Tempestt - This massive mural-stye abstract was created during a residency at the stunning Lost Eden Creative in Dwellingup WA. I'm modelling in one photo so you can get a sense of the grand scale! Inspired by nature, I created a balanced composition using different sections of colour. There's much to discover with blended paints, mark making and pattern work. I love the playful nature of the shapes and yellow line work weaving across the top. The pop of yellow sun draws your eye in and the intentional drips create a delicious contrast. Painted with Dulux Weathershield UV paints on marine grade plywood means this mini-mural is suitable for hanging outside in an undercover courtyard. Of course, it would look just as stunning inside if you have a large space to accommodate.
*PLEASE NOTE: due to the size, the artwork comes in two pieces 1.2m wide x 2.4m high each. When hung, the centre line is barely visible (refer to the detail photo). You can hang it quite simply with two strips of wood with a routered line in the centre (as pictured in the gallery image). Or have it framed.
