Flinders Street Station

Revealing my new Melbourne art creation
"Flinders Street Station".
Flinders Street Station is Australia's oldest train
station, and with its prominent green copper dome
distinctive yellow facade, arched entrance, tower,
and clocks, it is one of Melbourne's most
recognizable landmarks. It became the very first
steam rail station in all of Australia.

A widely reported urban myth is that the design for
Flinders Street Station was intended for Mumbai
CST and the design for the Chhatrapati Shivaji
Terminus (originally named VT -Victoria Terminus)
in Mumbai was meant for Melbourne. In 1899, a
competition was held for the design of a new
station in Melbourne. So people who have visited
both the stations can feel there is a
resemblance to the architecture of Mumbai
CST & Flinders Street Station.

I always used to admire the elevation of this
station. I have taken so many photos of it.
Somehow it connects and takes me to India as it
looks similar to Mumbai CST. With all these
thoughts in my mind, I created this artwork. I
mainly focused on the Flinders Street Station
architecture beauty. To highlight the station, I have
added clear sky blue as the background. This
station honours and gives pride to Melbourne. So I
have included the bold Melbourne word with
metallic gold at the bottom of the art.
This artwork will give a classy and premium look to
your place. As it was framed, it gels very well with
the white walls. Since the artwork is in square
dimensions, you can place this art on the side table
or countertop.

Hello, I am a Melbourne based and self-taught artist. I work in a variety of media like Painting, Clay, String and Embroidery Art. I always love to incorporate and bring innovative artworks like acrylic, gold leaf, applied with brushes and sponges to get the natural effect background. Now my focus is on acrylic and mixed media mediums.

I have always loved art since my childhood. My grandfather was an artist in the 90's and I used to do small oil painting brush strokes along with him which gave me more happiness. Since I was a little girl, I always used to express my feelings through Art like drawing and creating birthday, friendship and festive cards to my loved ones. From drawing I moved on to next stage, I started practicing on and off with colorful sketches and then paintings. Now, I am a full-time Artist.

Most of my artworks are inspired from my travels. I capture the beautiful moment as a photo/video and make it into my beautiful artworks. I love Melbourne CBD & its beaches and sunsets which gives me more ideas for color palette and paintings.

I always love to experiment and learn new artworks. This helps me to think in a different perspective to make creative arts which brings me more joy. All my artworks are unique and incorporates different techniques which includes mandala art with acrylic painting and clay art with acrylic painting on canvas.

I make my artwork as accessible as possible with flexible pricing. Each of my artworks is with high quality and triple seal completed items with varnished.
