A little of my story, my inspirations and aspiration:
I'm a wearer of many hats: a dedicated Mum, a volunteer in wildlife care and rescue, a creative artist, and by day, a Learning Designer. While art isn't my primary source of income, it's my joyful escape β a space for mindfulness, celebration, and constant exploration. From discovering new mediums and techniques to processing life's challenges, the artistic journey is endlessly rewarding. Sales of originals and high-quality prints are a wonderful bonus, allowing me to support the Port Stephens Koala Hospital, a cause close to my heart, and fuel my artistic fire with new supplies.
Inspirations:
My artwork draws inspiration from two deep loves: my family and the incredible Australian wildlife. Since 2020, volunteering with the Port Stephens Koala Hospital has been a source of immense inspiration. Witnessing the rescue, care, and release of koalas and other animals back into their natural habitat is incredibly fulfilling. This passion for wildlife led me down a unique artistic path: creating inks from leftover koala food β Eucalyptus leaves! Experimenting with different species unlocked a stunning palette of browns, from the warm glow of Swamp Mahogany to the deep, almost black tones of strongly scented leaves.
Art with a Purpose:
These one-of-a-kind Australian wildlife artworks serve a dual purpose: to grace your space with beauty and raise awareness for koala conservation. Original artworks and high-quality reproductions are available, with a portion of the proceeds donated directly to the Port Stephens Koala Hospital.
Aspiration:
My hope is that my Australian Wildlife artworks spark curiosity, inspire you to learn more about the stories behind the subjects, and ultimately, encourage action towards protecting our Australian wildlife.
