Two clusters of loose, dense marks sit in opposite corners — one grey and charcoal, one ochre — with thin red lines and black ink spatter drifting across the mostly bare canvas between them.
Inspired by readings in Japanese literature and its sense of transience and quiet imperfection. The bare canvas and loose, unforced marks echo that same restraint — nothing overworked, nothing fully resolved.

Based in Brisbane, I am a painter working in oil, acrylic, and mixed media on canvas. After a two-year hiatus between 2023 and 2025, I returned full-time to the studio with a shift from representational work to abstraction — paint as its own subject, where surface and gesture carry what image once conveyed.
My work has been exhibited across Australia since 2011, with pieces held in private collections locally and throughout the US and Europe.
