Sol Prairie (Samantha Scherer-Bates) is a multifaceted artist that explores themes of love, desire and spirituality through mediums of music, poetry, performance and visual art.
Prairie is fascinated by the processes of inner alchemy and transformation- focussing on vivid colours, abstract shapes and animals; with an aim to transmute a joyful energy to audiences.
Sol Prairie’s works also incorporate a “childlike” influence, inspired by her time working with children with behavioural challenges and disabilities.
Sol Prairie has been featured in the 2024 Northern Territory Art Awards and is known for her (now retired) art business "Light Minded Art."
