'Ganesha ' , considered as the Hindu deity who enables overcoming life's challenges, is depicted here to bless new ventures in one's life. For the artist, this was a personal statement to symbolise the beginning of new life in Australia as a migrant. Through this painting the artists seeks blessings to bring in good friends, peace and harmony from 'Ganesha'. Other symbols in this painting (such as the cottonwood hibiscus merged with Indian hibiscus flower), is a common theme from 'Concatenations' series where the artist seeks familiar objects (in the landscape, flora and fauna) which resonates with the artist's cultural roots in India.
