Artwork Description

Echoes in blue by Sonica Joshi Mann

This acrylic abstract painting evokes the atmosphere of a mysterious, rain-soaked city at night, where deep layers of blue and turquoise create a sense of depth, movement, and quiet reflection. Fine linear markings and geometric textures suggest architecture, windows, or distant lights, while vivid touches of magenta and pink draw the eye through the composition like glowing neon signs reflected on wet streets. The heavily worked surface, with its scraped, layered, and gestural marks, gives the piece an organic energy and a feeling of a city constantly shifting between structure and abstraction.

Artist Bio

Thank you for taking time to read my profile. I warmly welcome you on my creative journey. I hope my works make you happy, your homes warmer and your hearts fonder!

I believe that each painting has an inner existence, a creator’s soul creating it makes it identifiable with the creator! It can touch an aspiring heart, flow in rhythm with heart, can lead to establishing an inner connection and identifying the strength within! That’s what "Kala” in Sanskrit or Art means to me!

I identify myself as an art admirer and a passionate creator having special interest in abstract expressionism and textured abstract art. I love creating artworks that are rich, soulful and use vibrant colors with textures to bring a story on canvas which resonates with the collectors.

"Live Large Life” is my motto behind all my large scale paintings. I love creating these impactful pieces which elevate the mood of any space. They offer abundant energy in any room.

Australian with Indian heritage, the combination has certainly brought an interesting depth to the ways of my life! The connection of colors, seasons, mountain peaks and beaches from these two worlds have created magic in my life! An ardent masala chai and coffee lover(love coffee more than chai but ssshh), my creations exhibit the blends I experience.

Traveling, hiking, working in my garden and meditating in nature brings endless creativity to my style of work. I love to let myself lose on canvas, no boundaries, no limits and pure timelessness.

The people in my life, my family, friends and now collectors of my art have played a significant role in carving my beautiful journey and have paved path towards deeper understanding, realizations and establishing beliefs.

Mum of two, health and wellbeing enthusiast, nature admirer, I strongly believe that mind and matter are connected. I’m very grateful for the opportunities coming my way.
