This beautiful painting was inspired by a trip to the beautiful Tesselaar Tulip Festival in Melbourne last year. I was there during peak tulip blooms. What a sight to behold - hundreds of gorgeous, colorful tulips sweeping the gardens.
This painting was from one of my reference photos taken that day. In the lush green pastures , a single perfect pink tulip stood out and that's what I painted. I used pinks, reds and whites for the tulip. Greens, brown and a touch of yellow and white finished this lovely painting. Enjoy!
