I love colour - it speaks to my soul! Having undergone a rather serious bout of depression some years ago I find colour to be very important in my life. Admiring the magical colour array by which I am surrounded inspires me to capture it in a multitude of ways and a variety of media, which I mix freely and without restraint. Looking at this painting just makes me happy!
After many years of 'doing life' in a multitude of different ways - raising family - studying - running a private practice - I finally returned to my 'first love' - ART. Having completed a Diploma in Graphic Art in the 80s returning to my artistic creative self hasn't been difficult. Since retiring I've explored all manner of artistic expression and have run an art class for the past 4 years. I am happy to have come full circle and to be able to bring much of the valuable experience gathered throughout a rich life to my artwork and to everyone encounter.
