"Phillip" was born by a need to create a vibrant piece using contradictory colours which I adore!!
I have been paying greater attention to colours of late and Phillip was the perfect character to build up colour, texture and pattern.
The bright rainbow lorikeets that fill my trees at home inspiring me daily. In addition, I am now incorporating and experimenting with spray paint, always reaching for more, stretching my processes and my brain.
I love Phillip.
I loved the process & journey of creating Phillip.
I plan now do more bright birds just because they make me so happy to paint and look at.
My process is layered, from background, to paint, to then patterned.
A pure joy.
