Artist Bio

Soo is trained as an Architect but left her career in Singapore when she moved to Melbourne in 2018. With a slower pace of life down under, she re-kindled her childhood interest in art and found her happy place. She started her art journey with watercolour & acrylics, but have since explored new mediums and experimented using mixed media to push the boundaries of her creativity. When it comes to subject matter, she has a fascination for figurative art & portraiture and enjoy the challenge of drawing faces and capturing the unique essence of the person portrayed.

Soo is largely self-taught in art but have enrolled to study Diploma in Visual Arts since 2023 on a part-time basis for a more structured pathway towards being a professional artist.
