Hann studied at New York Studio School on a scholarship. She was awarded the Ruth Tuck Award, and the Dysan Bequest from the Art Gallery of New South Wales. She won the Hanger’s Choice Prize with the Gallery One Smallacombe Portrait Prize. Hann has been a finalist in numerous prizes including the Doug Moran, the Brett Whiteley Travelling Prize, the Heysen Prize for Landscape, the Fleurieu Landscape prize, the Shirley Hannan Portrait Prize, the Alice Bale Memorial Award and the Portia Geach Memorial Award to name a few. Hann has been the recipient of three Arts SA project grants and has exhibited across Australia.
