The lovers

Artwork depicts two Major Mitchell birds preening each other. The Major Mitchell is common Australian bird, with beautiful pink hues that often exudes and intelligence through their piercing eyes. The painting aims to capture this through use of layers providing a two dimension textures that gives an almost three dimensional effect.

I am an art teacher working out of Tahlia Keogh’s fine art studio in Wagga. My work mainly consists of teaching young students and providing a relaxing and encouraging environment for NDIS clients and those with mental health concerns.

My style consists of dark undertones and layering to achieve a textured look working with thin applications of acrylic paint.
You’ll often find birds or coffee heavily featured in my art, however I also love a bit of portraiture.
