Sophie Masnata is an emerging Australian Artist painting on Gulidjan Country in the sleepy Victorian town of Birregurra, at the foothills of the Otways. She is inspired by the diverse landscape around her, from arid paddocks and lush fern studded rainforests, to the rugged coastline of the Great Ocean Road, she utlises the freedom in which she can express herself through her constantly eveolving acrylic & mixed media works. With a professional background in Fashion Design; colour, pattern and texture are in a sense hard wired into Sophie's brain, and it is this habitual rhythm that organically turns her complex natural references into vibrantly layered art.
