Sophie Taylor is an emerging artist from Perth specialising in abstract mixed media painting. She has sold a number of pieces on a local and national level and has been a finalist in a number of art competitions.
Sophie is driven by colour. Through her work in abstract mixed media painting she explores mark making, texture and layering with a focus on bold bright palettes. She explores a range of themes and design styles from modern mid century to cyberpunk and then flowers for something completely different!
Central to Sophie's practice is a focus on the choices people make in their life and the ripples or, conversely, the insignificance of those decisions. She visually interprets these themes through design, shape, texture, layering and colour.
