Looking at the facade of a house evokes many thoughts.

I enjoyed this quote as it conjures some of the magic we may experience when looking at houses.

The windows of the cottage seem to be hiding in the shade of the veranda . Or at least, sitting back with a quiet reserve, like the outside of a treasure chest with jewels hidden within. We can imagine the intrigue of the story of the house, and those who have spent time within those walls.
