I am an artist whose first known work was at three years of age filling in the floral motif of my mother's bed spread with her red nail polish.
Art supplies were bought with haste and efforts redirected with more constructive mediums and surfaces.
From sixteen to nineteen years of age I commissioned portraits for friends and family that prompted a graduation from graphite pencil on paper to acrylic paint on canvas which led to me being invited to participate in a street exhibition.
During this time I produced portraits of, among many others, KD Lang and the great boxer Kostya Tszyu. Both of which I was fortunate to get autographed.
Amoung many animal studies I am broadening my range and grouping my creations into series that study the lives and interests of others with a unique perspective.
I have always been very observant and have a very long to do list on my drawing table.
Watercolour is my favourite medium because of its blending applications and washes which help me to achieve the effects of both subtlety and boldness where needed.
Thank you for taking the time to read my bio and stay tuned for my new series.
Have a creative day!
Stacey.
