Artwork Description

A still life scene with a bunch of vintage perfume bottles, all arranged together. The background starts off almost pitch black, then melts into this bold, vibrant red. Over in the lower right, bright red flowers burst into view, bringing a splash of life and colour. The whole setup gives off a classic, elegant vibe making it feel warm and welcoming.

Artist Bio

Stan was born in Wangaratta but grew up in a suburb of Melbourne. With an interest in all forms of creative artwork since his childhood, Stan started drawing and painting early in his life. However, he knew early on in his life that painting would be a challenging future, and his need for steady pay motivated him to establish a career as a graphic designer.
Stan’s design career in the beginning was slow but steady, and he had initially worked for a number of design studios and advertising agencies before opening his own design studio several years later. He created products for clients from logos and stationery to brochures, packaging design to display design and production. Profitable and challenging, he thrived on the creativity with a financial benefit.
But in his free time, he would continue creating artwork in various media: oil and acrylic painting, watercolour painting, and even digital art. Much of this artwork he would either gift to a relative or friend or even sell to a few acquaintances.
While his design business remains healthy, his true love is the creation of art. His ambition to transition from graphic design to painting full-time is a step towards a hopeful, bright future in his later years.
