Artwork Description

Inspired by the city of Vancouver Canada with its intricate waterways, bridges, entertainment and wonderful people. From Granville Island at the entrance to False Creek, past Yaletown and up to the science museum located right next to the Olympic village, this city has the lay back feel of a small town.

Artist Bio

Steve is a Torquay, Australia based painter whose work draws deeply from the abstract world around him. From the city to the coast, Steve draws inspiration and interprets that energy and colour into his work.

His work is represented in collections across Australia and abroad.

Steve has been creative for most of his life. Working in the graphic arts industry and being part of design and photography teams has given him the experience and skills to create his art.

From his home studio he conjures thoughts that drift and settle and there’s always something waiting just under the surface; a flicker, an image, a thought.

For Steve, it’s about connection and the invitation is open for others to make that connection. When someone does that with a piece, that’s the magic.
