Artwork Description

Ceramic with hoop pine base

Signed on the back.

Interesting spirit figurine full of energy and good-will. Mounted on a hoop pine base. Wood harvested from a fallen tree. This piece has been fired several times in order to create a patterned unusual finish. I think this fellow could bring good fortune.
Research indicates sculptures provide higher emotional support than paintings. Unlike paintings that are limited to two dimensions, the sculpture reflects life in three-dimensional space. Sculptures are tactile; one can touch them and feel their texture, weight and shape. Sculptures surprise and trigger pleasant psychological responses resulting in a profoundly satisfying and genuinely invigorating aesthetic experience.
