Artwork Description

Neon Spirit is a mixed-media sculpture crafted from ceramic, glazes, and two integrated LED lights. The ceramic body stands on a base that discreetly conceals two AAA batteries, with all wiring fully internal and invisible. The glowing eyes produce a striking visual effect that brings the figure to life.
This unique artwork blends traditional ceramic techniques with a playful, modern twist. Batteries are included and typically last between eight months and a year.

Sculptures make the best GIFTS!
Research has shown that sculptures provide higher emotional support than paintings. Unlike paintings, which are limited to two dimensions, sculptures reflect life in three-dimensional space. Sculpture and viewer share space. Sculptures are tactile; one can touch them and feel their texture, weight, and shape. They surprise and trigger pleasant psychological arousal. They enhance the living area and generate an invigorating aesthetic experience.

Artist Bio

I transform simple, unassuming materials into sculptures that engage the senses and stir curiosity. Inspired by the Japanese embrace of imperfection, transience, and incompleteness, my work seeks authenticity in form and feeling.

The vibrant subtropical landscape I call home infuses my pieces with colour and vitality. I aim for clarity and directness, creating works that are tactile, approachable, and quietly uplifting.

In a complex world, I value simplicity. My sculptures invite interaction, offering moments of connection and lightness. Each piece reflects my own creative path and is made to bring moments of joy to those who experience it.
