Raku Cat

This sculpture has undergone quite a journey.
Modelled from white raku clay, it was first wood-fired, then glazed with a milky white raku glaze and fired again. After that, it was treated with copper oxide, fired once more, and given a f raku treatment. The result is a distinctive metallic copper finish—something truly one-of-a-kind that I’ll probably never be able to reproduce in quite the same way again.
