My artistic journey was supposed to begin in my mid 20’s when I spent a year developing an art folio in preparation for art school but life happened .
I got married, then got divorced and life began as a sole parent with all that entails. Decades passed in a blink of an eye before taking the plunge for18-months to formally study art where I honed some foundational skills before deciding I would follow my heart and go it alone.
Since then I have followed my instincts, giving myself the freedom to just paint and be eclectic and unbound by should’s or should not’s. I paint what inspires in the moment. I am inspired by landscapes and seascapes, and everything else in between including abstract.
As an artist, I want to explore through colour, feelings, mood, inspiration and personal interests and take a deeply personal approach to my artistic expression and continue to evolve and experiment. My art remains a heartfelt exploration expressed with paint on canvas.
