Iconic One Mile Beach in Forster, on the mid north coast of NSW in the summertime. I imagine here a group of friends who have spent the morning splashing in the shallows and digging in the sand. They have returned to the cool of the grassy dunes only long enough to munch on some hot chips with chicken salt, to reapply sunscreen, and be reminded to stay between the flags. Off they race again as one calls, “Going back in!”, and the rest giggle with delight as they smash through the soft sand towards the clear blue waves.
