Stephanie has been a painter and illustrator for more than forty years, having to relearn her skills after losing her dominant painting hand in an industrial accident in 1979.
Residing in Wollongong on the NSW South Coast, Stephanie is an Australian artist, mother to three adored adult children, and grandmother to four beautiful boys.
Interested in passing on her knowledge, Stephanie lectured in painting, drawing, art history, and theory at the University of Wollongong, being recognised for her teaching strategies and methodologies by the Dean of the University before retiring in 2009 to concentrate on her practice.
Interested in exploring traditional oil painting techniques and ink and charcoal studies, Stephanie’s work is predominantly figurative and explores colour and form.
“My art is a means by which to articulate my ideas and theories, my memories, and my unique experiences.”
