Artist Bio

Stephanie is an Australian artist currently residing on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. With a preference for acrylics, her paintings are a reflection of her intuitive nature, incorporating playful compositions that draw inspiration from botanicals, coastal landscapes, maximalism, and nostalgic textiles.

As an artist, Stephanie is constantly exploring new techniques and ideas. She is particularly interested in the tensions that arise within a painting, such as the interplay between chance and intention, the layering of soft and vivid hues, and the balance between gesture and precision.

Originally from Brisbane, Stephanie moved to Melbourne after completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) degree at Queensland University of Technology. She returned to her roots in 2022 and now calls the Sunshine Coast home. She draws inspiration from the local colors, textures, and shorelines, which inform her art practice on a daily basis.
