Vinyasa large green

Vinyasa (meaning to link movement with breath) is a new painting from Stephanie's 'Shanti' series and can be hung vertically or horizontally.

'Shanti represents a state of inner calm in Sanskrit (an ancient language). By creating an impression of movement (to express the passing of time) and many intertwining and merging layers (which symbolises our experiences), I hope to convey a sense of peace as we observe our memories. I believe in our ability to bring understanding and acceptance to our past, to appreciate every experience as worthwhile in our journey.'

Vinyasa is a combination of sage and mustard greens, green greys and beige with a touch of light blue and navy. She's painted on a quality stretched canvas. The image wraps around the 3.8cm sides so Vinyasa is ready to hang.

All paintings are finished in 2 coats of satin lacquer for protection and longevity.

Stephanie grew up in the Country areas of the New South Wales Central Coast and moved to the Gold Coast in 1997 to be closer to her family. Daughter of political cartoonist Larry Pickering and one of eleven children, she enjoyed a colourful and interesting childhood. With a background in graphic design she was a partner in 'Studio Otto Illustration and Design' for 12 years before deciding to devote her time fully to painting in 2007. Solo Exhibition venues include Gold Coast 'Home of the Arts', Bundall, Doggett Street Studio, and Newstead Brisbane.
