Artwork Description

Winter's Edge is a beautiful neutral coloured painting from my organic series. Rich in textures reminiscent of nature, this painting is comprised of many layers of washes over a textured base to create depth and a sense of natural elements. This painting is one of those ‘very hard to part with’ pieces.

All paintings are finished in 2 coats of satin varnish.

Stephanie grew up in the Country areas of the New South Wales Central Coast and moved to the Gold Coast in 1997 to be closer to her family. Daughter of political cartoonist Larry Pickering and one of eleven children, she enjoyed a colourful and interesting childhood. With a background in graphic design she was a partner in 'Studio Otto Illustration and Design' for 12 years before deciding to devote her time fully to painting in 2007. Solo Exhibition venues include Gold Coast 'Home of the Arts', Bundall, Doggett Street Studio, and Newstead Brisbane.
