‘Tale of the tropics’ draws inspiration from my extensive travels across the diverse and rich landscapes of Australia, where each region offers its own unique environment and cultural influences. Whether it's the lush rainforests, arid deserts, or coastal paradises, I immerse myself fully in these surroundings, absorbing the colours, textures, and emotions they evoke. In this artwork, I've channeled the essence of these varied landscapes into a vibrant, semi-abstracted floral design that celebrates the beauty and energy of travel. Through this piece, I aim to capture the vibrancy and excitement of travel—the way it awakens the senses and expands our horizons. The semi-abstracted florals serve as a metaphor for the fusion of memories and experiences that travel brings, creating a tapestry of colours and forms that, much like our journeys, are ever-evolving and deeply personal.

Artist Bio
I’m an artist & designer living in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula creating on Bunurong land. To say I have been painting all my life would almost be true - I'm told that I painted my first still life when I was 4 (a bowl of fruit). So at the very least, painting has been a part of my life for a very long time. Creativity is in my bones, and as a qualified Graphic Designer I have the pleasure of using my creativity every day. However, spending all of my time in front of a computer screen simply doesn’t work for me, and I’ve always painted as an extra creative outlet. After an early pregnancy loss in 2019, I leaned heavily into my art practice as a way to heal and live with my grief. Since then I have slowly woven art and design together and both of these passions are a huge part of my life.
I aim to fill my life with creativity every day, and when I’m not creating designs for my beautiful clients I spend my days outside with my 2 little ones, and my evenings practicing yoga or painting.
This is a weird and wonderful and beautiful life - and I’m here to celebrate it all.
