Artwork Description

"Wish You Could See the View" invites you into a moment of quiet beauty—one of those scenes so captivating, you instinctively want to share it. The artwork offers a dreamy glimpse of a tropical escape, where lush frangipani flowers and sweeping green foliage frame a vibrant setting. A striped beach towel, casually draped across the foreground, holds ripe papaya and figs, hinting at sun-soaked afternoons spent savouring life’s simple pleasures.

As the sunset sky glows in warm pinks, oranges, and soft purples, a sense of longing weaves through the scene—the desire to share breath-taking views and sweet, fleeting moments with those we cherish. With rich textures, bold colours, and a whimsical composition, "Wish You Could See the View" transports the viewer to a place where the air is warm, the fruit is fresh, and the memories linger long after the sun dips below the horizon.

Artist Bio

I’m an artist & designer living in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula creating on Bunurong land. To say I have been painting all my life would almost be true - I'm told that I painted my first still life when I was 4 (a bowl of fruit). So at the very least, painting has been a part of my life for a very long time. Creativity is in my bones, and as a qualified Graphic Designer I have the pleasure of using my creativity every day. However, spending all of my time in front of a computer screen simply doesn’t work for me, and I’ve always painted as an extra creative outlet. After an early pregnancy loss in 2019, I leaned heavily into my art practice as a way to heal and live with my grief. Since then I have slowly woven art and design together and both of these passions are a huge part of my life.

I aim to fill my life with creativity every day, and when I’m not creating designs for my beautiful clients I spend my days outside with my 2 little ones, and my evenings practicing yoga or painting.

This is a weird and wonderful and beautiful life - and I’m here to celebrate it all.
