Artwork Description

After travelling to the Kimberley & seeing Bradshaw rock art 20,000+ years old (Guyan - slim figures with tassels from arms, legs, waist, hair), I stopped at Coral Bay along WA coast. A young woman was strolling in the shallows in a tie-string bikini, & it made me think of the Guyan. Here, she waits with Guyan as somewhat different figures (more like Wandjina of recent millenia) arrive onshore.

Artist Bio

I am a retired professional, but since my teens I've been an avid photographer & sometimes painter, & with retirement I can now pursue these creativities more often.
I'm now keenly active in digital photography (but hope to get back to film one day), pottery, & painting. I'd describe part of my approach to these as 'quirky' - I try to do
my own thing. Sometimes viewers may not get what I'm saying & I'm OK with that, as long as they wonder what it is. I look at other peoples' art & find some of these speak
(something) to me, and I hope people get that same reaction to my works.
