Victoria Falls - Mt Victoria, Blue Mountains National Park.
After praying for rain here in the Blue Mountains, I'm very thankful to receive some much needed water!
What an amazing sight to see in reality but very difficult to photograph. The falls are about 25 meters high and about 4km deep within the valley below.
My aim today was to find this waterfall that I visited over 15 years ago as a much younger man.
Last time it was bone dry, not a single drop of water to be found.
I hiked for many hours today in the rain to get this photograph.
- Beautiful mist covered valleys early in the morning.
- Many burnt fallen trees and new life emerging from the recently burned bush.
- I saw three wild Lyrebirds along the way.
- I love walking in the Blue Mountains, in the rain it comes alive.
I took my backpack with a tripod and my Nikon D810 camera.
I had a heavy duty rain coat and a large umbrella, but came home with very muddy shoes.
What an adventure! It was a 6 hour round trip.
I came home drenched and tired but enjoyed getting outdoors again.
You wonโt see this every day! I hope you like it.
