I have been making art for a long time and my main influences have been Jean-Michel Basquiat, Francis Bacon, Picasso and Willem de Kooning. Additionally, the street art scene has also interested me greatly and has had its influence on my work. Previously i worked predominately with oils on canvas, but i have recently started using acrylics and mixed media on paper. I found that it has allowed me to express myself easier due to the quick drying times that acrylics have. When i start a painting i usually have a general idea of the direction, but i try and let the painting guide me in the direction it organically wants to go.
