Artwork Description

Backyard cricket is more than a tradition - it’s an Aussie way of life. Stumps painted on a garbage bin and slogging the ball over the fence for “six”. I fondly remember living in a house with a big backyard - but as I was the only one in my family interested in the game, I found my own way of enjoying backyard cricket!

I paint streets, landscapes, portraits and other things that capture me.

My artist journey began with an early passion for painting before following a career in television and film where I've created soundtracks for many of Australia's best known television shows and award winning productions. In recent years I've returned to my original love of painting.

I’m drawn to the often overlooked moments of emptiness or disquiet within urban environments and aim to evoke some response or humour through much of my work. I also like to explore at the imbalance, or sometimes tension, between the constructed and natural worlds.
