Overpass

A familiar site in many cities - a sweeping freeway overpass arcing between established buildings, through redeveloped neighbourhoods and hovering over the old roads. Depending on one's perspective - a living brutalist sculpture, a dividing line, or a place to shelter for the night.

My artist journey began with an early passion for painting before following a career in television and film where I've created soundtracks for many of Australia's best known television shows and award winning productions. In recent years I've returned to my original love of painting.

I’m drawn to the often overlooked moments of emptiness or disquiet within urban environments and aim to evoke some response or humour through much of my work. I also like to explore at the imbalance, or sometimes tension, between the constructed and natural worlds.
