Artwork Description

A row of modest terrace houses, nestled below their towering modern counterparts, serves as a poignant symbol of the disparities that exist within our cities. Who lives in these houses and who actually owns them? Renovated homes of the affluent look across their neighbouring unrenovated dwellings, sharing rooftops and windows, sharing their lives.

I paint streets, landscapes, portraits and other things that capture me.

My artist journey began with an early passion for painting before following a career in television and film where I've created soundtracks for many of Australia's best known television shows and award winning productions. In recent years I've returned to my original love of painting.

I’m drawn to the often overlooked moments of emptiness or disquiet within urban environments and aim to evoke some response or humour through much of my work. I also like to explore at the imbalance, or sometimes tension, between the constructed and natural worlds.
