Patch

Patch combines the character of Australian wildlife with a sense of childhood nostalgia. A young kangaroo sits protectively behind a well-loved teddy bear, with the small red heart providing a playful focal point. I wanted the detailed fur and fabric textures to contrast with the simple soft pink background, creating a contemporary piece that feels warm, humorous and slightly sentimental.

I am a semi-professional self taught artist living in Adelaide. I have been creating art for most of my life but have only begun selling art in the past 10 years or so. I am originally from the Isle of Man in the UK , which is where I developed my passion for wildlife and Nature art. After discovering the talents of such artists as Carl Brenders and Robert Bateman I began a life long obsession with rendering fur and texture.
