Acrylic on cardboard

Boris Karloff played the monster created by Dr Frankenstein in the classic Universal 1931 film "Frankenstein". Here is a portrait of Boris in that role, with a little tongue in cheek item the make the tribute unique. Karloff was an extremely versatile character actor and went on to play a huge variety of role in film, TV and theatre. He is the most famous actor to bring to life the role of the monster before Hollywood recycled the story in numerous films sequels. He was also the first to wear the most famous make up created by Hollywood make up wiz Jack Pierce.
