Artwork Description

As an actor at a theme park called Old Sydney Town, it was our job the recreate the early days of Sydney in from the period of 1788 to 1810. It's no longer in operation, the buildings have crumbled and the weeds have taken over. The task of recreating the same historical events daily led to much desire to parody. Here's my twist on the daily street theatre programme. It's painted in 1989 and it's part of a series of illustrations I did to depict the experience this job left me. The others are available separately and can bee seen in one of the additional photos. All are unframed.
