Tread carefully.

I sat on these rocks and sketched this seascape to capture the feeling of the day. I slipped many times and nearly ended up in the sea. It was worth getting wet though.

The artwork is painted with professional Art Spectrum oil paints on a professional double thick cotton canvas. The slides of the painting are left white.

Steve Myers is a Tasmania-based artist who mainly works in oils. A principal theme in Steve's work is the ocean where he finds his escapism and inspiration. Steve started surfing at the young age of four and he has always been drawn to the sea, its energy, and its vastness which provoke emotion that he tries to capture in his art. Steve mostly paints Tasmanian seascapes, particularly the wild west coast and its rugged beauty and remoteness.
