Artwork Description

I enjoy trying to paint things that are different. This is my attempt at humour showing dogs attempting to get meat that is always going to be out of reach.

It is a diptych (2 panel) painting with the left panel showing a Great Dane, who could easily reach the meat, but which is tethered. The right panel shows three dogs, none of whom could ever reach the prize.

Hope you enjoy the humour.

Framed in hardwood frames, which have been stained in white and then varnished in a satin finish.

Artist Bio

I'm a visual artist, based in Adelaide. I mainly work in acrylics, but I also do some watercolor pieces. I'm always looking for new subjects. You would mostly call my work impressionism and sometimes expressionist.

For me, making a piece of art is always an experiment, a journey. I rarely know what the final outcome will be. I look for ideas from the environment, photographs and simple life events. I start with an idea, and let the painting take me to a conclusion. This adds excitement and stimulation to my work.

As a self-taught artist, I learn every day. I try to improve on every piece that I create. I am passionate and dedicated, and I try to paint every day.

Thank you for visiting my bio.
