Artwork Description

The ever changing cycle of nature shapes the picture that we see of our bay. The shapes in the sand evolve constantly in a natural rhythm influenced by the wind and the sea. Colours constantly change.

This painting is all about capturing the softness and ever-changing beauty of the bay with a natural entrance in the foreground. The grasses hold the dunes together and offer quiet certainty and extra beauty.

Artist Bio

I'm a visual artist, based in Adelaide. I mainly work in acrylics, but I also do some watercolor pieces. I'm always looking for new subjects. You would mostly call my work impressionism and sometimes expressionist.

For me, making a piece of art is always an experiment, a journey. I rarely know what the final outcome will be. I look for ideas from the environment, photographs and simple life events. I start with an idea, and let the painting take me to a conclusion. This adds excitement and stimulation to my work.

As a self-taught artist, I learn every day. I try to improve on every piece that I create. I am passionate and dedicated, and I try to paint every day.

Thank you for visiting my bio.
