Artwork Description

Rain in outback Australia brings with it a transformation of the landscape beauty. In some locations that beauty is in the form of salt lakes, which are devoid of vegetation due to the salinity of the water. Salt lakes offer an alternative to a green landscape, and provide their own beauty.

This wide impressionist painting depicts a salt lake with a mountainous backdrop. The mountains are, in part, reflected in the lake offering a very interesting and beautiful scene.

- One of a kind original painting.

Artist Bio

I'm a visual artist, based in Adelaide. I mainly work in acrylics, but I also do some watercolor pieces. I'm always looking for new subjects. You would mostly call my work impressionism and sometimes expressionist.

For me, making a piece of art is always an experiment, a journey. I rarely know what the final outcome will be. I look for ideas from the environment, photographs and simple life events. I start with an idea, and let the painting take me to a conclusion. This adds excitement and stimulation to my work.

As a self-taught artist, I learn every day. I try to improve on every piece that I create. I am passionate and dedicated, and I try to paint every day.

Thank you for visiting my bio.
