Artwork Description

I was motivated to attempt the theme by an article in an Australian newspaper about the spearing of a protected Grouper. This is a scene that typically would occur frequently in Australia's marine environment, a colourful octopus meets a predator.

I hope you enjoy the fun!

Framed in hardwood which has been stained in white and then varnished.

Artist Bio

I'm a visual artist, based in Adelaide. I mainly work in acrylics, but I also do some watercolor pieces. I'm always looking for new subjects. You would mostly call my work impressionism and sometimes expressionist.

For me, making a piece of art is always an experiment, a journey. I rarely know what the final outcome will be. I look for ideas from the environment, photographs and simple life events. I start with an idea, and let the painting take me to a conclusion. This adds excitement and stimulation to my work.

As a self-taught artist, I learn every day. I try to improve on every piece that I create. I am passionate and dedicated, and I try to paint every day.

Thank you for visiting my bio.
