Contemplations

An astronaut occupies most of the canvas. The visor functions as a mirror/window, painted with a detailed, swirling nebula in deep blues and blacks speckled with stars. The suit and helmet are rendered with simplified, graphic outlines in white and maroon against a saturated pink-orange wash background with visible drips and softer colour transitions. Sometimes we stare into space, sometimes it stares back

Im Scuba, located in the western suburbs of Sydney.
I’m inspired by the tension between structure and spontaneity. The way bold colour, layered surfaces, and graphic elements can hold both energy and stillness at once. My paintings explore imagined spaces where construction becomes expression, and where visual fragments come together to form something both contemporary and quietly atmospheric.
